Cookie Policy
Last updated: June 30, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how AIEmployees, the company behind SEOG ("AIEmployees", "we", "us", "our"), uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies when you visit seog.ai or use the SEOG platform. It is effective as of June 30, 2026, and should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
What Are Cookies & Local Storage
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device to store information between page loads and visits. They can be set by the site you are visiting (first-party) or by third parties whose services run on the site.
"Local storage" (and the related "session storage") is a related browser technology that lets a site save small amounts of data in your browser. Unlike cookies, local storage values are not automatically sent to a server with each request; they stay in your browser until cleared.
We use both technologies, and in this policy we refer to them collectively as "cookies" unless a distinction matters.
How We Use Cookies
We use these technologies to:
- Keep you signed in and protect your session (strictly necessary).
- Remember white-label partner branding so the correct brand renders for you.
- Record your cookie choice so we do not ask again on every page.
- Remember functional preferences, such as your light/dark theme and where you first arrived from (marketing attribution).
- With your consent, measure how the product and site are used so we can improve them.
Our backend sets no tracking cookies. Signed-in application pages rely on strictly-necessary cookies only. Analytics technologies load only after you click "Accept" in our cookie banner.
The tables below describe the specific cookies and local-storage keys we use.
Strictly Necessary
These are required for the service to function and cannot be switched off through our consent controls.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
seog_rt | Cookie (HttpOnly, Secure in production, SameSite=Lax) | Holds your refresh token to keep you signed in. | ~7 days |
brand | Cookie | Remembers a white-label partner brand selection so the correct partner branding renders. | Session / persistent |
seog_cookie_consent | Local storage | Remembers your cookie choice (Accept/Reject). | Until cleared |
Functional (Local Storage)
These remember preferences and context. They are not strictly necessary, but they improve your experience.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
seog_utm | Local storage | First-touch marketing attribution (utm_source/medium/campaign/term/content/id, gclid, fbclid, referrer, landing page). | Until cleared |
seog_origin | Local storage | First-touch white-label partner origin (tenant slug). | Until cleared |
theme | Local storage | Remembers your light/dark theme preference. | Until cleared |
Analytics (Only After You Accept)
These are set only after you click "Accept" in our cookie banner. They help us understand how the product and site are used.
| Name | Type | Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
_clck, _clsk, CLID (and MUID) | Cookie | Microsoft Corporation | Microsoft Clarity — heatmaps and session insights. |
_ga, _ga_* | Cookie | Google LLC | Google Analytics tags fired through Google Tag Manager. The Tag Manager container itself sets no cookies; any analytics tags fired through it are gated behind your consent. |
Your Choices & Consent
When you first visit, we show a cookie banner where you can Accept or Reject non-essential cookies. Analytics technologies (Microsoft Clarity and any Google Analytics tags) load only if you accept. Strictly necessary and functional storage keep the service working and are not used for cross-site tracking.
You can change your decision at any time. A Manage cookie preferences control is available on this page (the button is rendered below this content), and you can use it to update or withdraw your consent whenever you like. You can also clear cookies and local storage through your browser settings; note that clearing strictly-necessary cookies may sign you out or reset your preferences.
Do Not Track & Global Privacy Control
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. There is no common industry standard for how to interpret DNT, so we do not respond to DNT signals.
We do, however, honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a valid request to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information where applicable law requires it. We do not sell personal information for money. For more on opt-outs, see Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.
EEA / UK (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on your consent as the legal basis for non-essential cookies (functional and analytics). Strictly necessary cookies are used on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating and securing the service. You may withdraw consent at any time using the Manage cookie preferences control, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. For more detail on your rights, see our Privacy Policy.
US State Privacy Choices
Many US states — including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Oregon, Texas, and others — give residents the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information and of targeted (cross-context) advertising, which can include analytics and advertising cookies. We do not sell personal information for money, and we honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a valid opt-out for the browser or device that sends it. To manage these choices, use the Manage cookie preferences control on this page, enable GPC in your browser, or see Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. For the full list of state-by-state rights, see our Privacy Policy.
Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the technologies we use or in applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date shown on this page. Your continued use of SEOG after an update means you accept the revised policy.
